Attendance Recovery
Beginning in July 2025, California’s Attendance Recovery (AR) policy presented districts with a critical opportunity to both recoup lost attendance-based funding and re-engage students in the learning process. When implemented thoughtfully, AR can strengthen student engagement, deepen relationships with caring adults, and foster meaningful collaboration between teachers and expanded learning staff.
Join PCY and the California AfterSchool Network to learn from the pioneering districts implementing AR programming who will be providing practical strategies, advice, and answering questions about how to implement Attendance Recovery well. This discussion showcases learning from our newly released resource, Emerging Practices for Attendance Recovery, the second report of a 3-part series. The webinar will be one hour with an optional 30 minute Q & A with the panelists.
