About the Project
Stories from the Field is an advocacy project started by Mike Taylor of San Rafael City Schools - an educator with over 20 years of experience and over 3 years focused on expanded learning. PCY is excited to partner on this project to increase the workforce representation and visibility, as well as connect it to other statewide advocacy efforts. Uplifting and showcasing the passionate people within California’s Expanded Learning workforce is the driver behind Stories from the Field.

Who helped them along the way
Wisdom for colleagues and newcomers to the field
Our goal is to share these portraits and stories with legislators, local decision makers, and advocates—keeping workforce stories at the forefront where policy happens.
